Advance word on this year's NAB Show is that attendance will be down
due, mainly to the economy. However, Las Vegas is fighting back, by
slashing hotel rates and heavily promoting the city as a destination
spot. Economic pressures are forcing companies to scale back and only
send upper management. So we want to know: Will you be going to the NAB Show, and why or why not? Is the NAB Show still important to you?

Our clients still feel that NAB is a significant event and worth the investment. The quality of the education tracks; the networking opportunities and the ability to interface with the broadcasting community is still valuable at this event. However, we have noticed a significant drop in the number of media contacts attending this year. We've set up online demos of our clients' products for this very purpose. I think it's a double whammy of the decline of media outlets in general - particularly print media - and the economy forcing everyone to make sacrifices. The online demos are actually working out quite well.
